Can Wrinkles really be treated with an Anti Wrinkle Cream?
All of us are going to experience wrinkles. But not everyone is going to be successful in getting rid of them.
You see, there is a lot of misinformation when it comes to wrinkles and wrinkle treatment.
For instance, many of us believe that wrinkles are a sign that we are getting old. And an anti wrinkle cream will do the job of removing them from around our faces.
But unfortunately, this is not the whole truth.
You see, the sun is the main reason why we wrinkle. It is those ultra violet rays that do damage our faces causing our skin to shrivel.
At first, the rays of the sun make our facial skin thinner. That is because they are able to get into the dermis. And the dermis is the layer of living skin cells that promotes skin repair and rejuvenation.
Then free radical damage occurs and the living skin cells begin to die. And so this layer shrinks and thins.
Well, when the skin thins, fine lines appear on our faces. Usually on our foreheads and around our eyes and mouth.
But the job is not yet complete. There is still more to be done for those fine lines to evolve into wrinkles. Do you have any idea of what takes place next?
Well it is due to the loss of our facial fat cells as well as the tightening of the muscles in our faces. Heres the reasoning.
You see sunlight also causes free radical damage in the fat cells of our faces. Once this occurs, our faces begin to hollow out. And the skin begins to sag and fold. Then fine lines deepen to form wrinkles.
Furthermore, our facial muscles also play an important role in the formation of wrinkles. You see, as we age all our muscles shrink. But the facial muscles are quite different to the every other muscle in our bodies.
Apart from all the other muscles, the facial muscles are immediately attached to the skin. Therefore when shrinking occurs the skin is also affected. In other words, when these muscles tightened and contract, the skin experiences pulling and tensing. And this causes wrinkles to be enlarged.
So you can see that wrinkles are caused by the 3 above factors. That is the thinning of the skin, the loss of fat and the contraction of facial muscles.
And I hope that you will also realize that anti wrinkle creams by themselves would not properly treat wrinkles. While these creams may (to some extent) care for the skin, they do nothing to replace fat cells and relax facial muscles. Obviously, wrinkle treatment demands more.
